If I had ‘Music by Numbers’ when I was 15 I would be at a another level of guitar playing today. 🎸
So much untapped information!
Looking back at my old guitar magazines from the early 1990’s there was so much information in them that I didn’t understand. Music theory knowledge was assumed.
At that point in my life I was not prepared to read a 100 page Music Theory text book with the hope that it would all become clear.
Having attempted it later in life, it turned out the content and presentation was overwhelming and difficult to digest (even as an adult). I didn’t feel that I had benefitted from that effort or that I had retained much of the information. I certainly didn’t have any knowledge that I could apply to my playing.
Today, videos online often refer to concepts without explaining them and it becomes difficult, and time consuming, to navigate back and forth without getting distracted (and sometimes lost!) to find the information you need.
The Solution !
‘Music by Numbers’ has all the information you need in one place and can be run alongside videos, on your desktop, to help you learn.
Chapters are focused and pages concise, so you can get to what you need easily.
‘Playing’ with the software unlocks patterns and concepts visually on the fretboard (or piano) to help you get to the next level. 🎹
You can’t help but see it!
Using the software whilst playing along with your instrument establishes and solidifies patterns in your knowledge and muscle memory. Allowing you to see ‘musically’ what you are doing and make new decisions based on the extra information presented.
